I’m the author of the Ninja Life Hacks series, a collection of children’s books created to help kids understand big emotions in simple, relatable ways. But none of that started the way people might expect.

There were people who believed in us before it made sense and people who gave us chances we probably hadn’t earned yet. Looking back, I can see how much of this wasn’t just hard work. It was timing, support, and a lot of grace.

When someone searches “net worth,” I don’t think they’re just looking for a number. I think they’re asking if something like this is even possible, what it really takes, and if they could do it too. And I wish I could sit across from them and say yes, but it probably won’t look how you expect.

It’s not one big moment. It’s showing up when it’s hard, continuing when things feel uncertain, building something that actually helps people, and staying longer than you feel like you can.

What stays with me isn’t numbers. It’s when a parent says, “Your book helped my child.” It’s knowing something we created is sitting in a home we’ll never see, helping a child understand a feeling they didn’t have words for before.
