This is a fun and creative STEM activity for kids using just five simple household objects!
- Gather five objects from around the house. Some ideas include a spoon, a piece of string, a ruler, a paper clip, and a plastic lid.
- Ask the kids to predict how the objects could be used together to create something. Give them a few minutes to brainstorm and come up with ideas.
- Once the kids have had a chance to think about the objects, challenge them to use the objects to build a structure.
- Give them some guidance if needed, and let them experiment with the objects. Encourage them to think outside the box!
- Once the kids have built their structure, ask them to explain how they used the objects to build it.
- Ask them to think of other ways they could use the objects or combine them in different ways.
This is a great way to get kids thinking outside the box and become a Problem-Solving or an Inventor Ninja to come up with unique solutions. Have fun!
